Terms of Service

Last updated: September 4, 2026

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and ROK. Please read them carefully before signing up or using the Service. See also our Privacy Policy.

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ROK (the "Service"), a chat assistant that generates text, images, and code with the help of artificial intelligence. By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the standard Service. If you are under 18, you may only use the standard Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and you may not access uncensored models, "Spicy" personality variants, or any mode of the Service capable of producing explicit, adult, or unfiltered content. Such modes are strictly limited to users who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher). By using an uncensored or unfiltered mode of the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. The Service does not perform age verification, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that misrepresent age to access restricted modes.

3. Your Account

You can use the Service as a guest without an account, or create a free account by signing in with a supported third-party provider (such as Google) or with an email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for all activity that occurs through your account.

Guest usage may be limited (for example, to a smaller AI model) and is subject to change. We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

4. AI Output and Its Limitations

The Service generates content using large language models. AI-generated output ("Output") can be inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or inappropriate. You must not rely on Output as fact, professional advice (including legal, medical, or financial advice), or a guarantee of any kind. You are responsible for verifying Output before using it in any consequential context.

The Service may include experimental features, "thinking" modes, or personality variants (such as "ROK Hermes Spicy"). These may produce unexpected, unfiltered, or offensive language. Output does not reflect the views of ROK or its operators.

5. Your Content and Prompts

You retain ownership of the prompts, files, images, and other material you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display it solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and supporting the Service.

You are solely responsible for Your Content. You confirm that you own it or have the right to use it, and that it does not violate any law or the rights of any third party.

6. Acceptable Use

ROK offers both standard and uncensored/unfiltered model modes. Uncensored modes are intended to allow more open-ended, adult, and unmoderated output than the standard mode, including explicit language and mature themes, for eligible adult users as described in Section 2. This does not permit unlawful content. Regardless of mode, you agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate, request, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors, in any form — this applies without exception in every mode of the Service.
  • Generate non-consensual sexual content depicting real, identifiable people (including deepfakes or "face-swapped" material).
  • Generate content intended to facilitate the planning or commission of violence, terrorism, or serious harm against real individuals or groups.
  • Generate malware, exploits, or content intended to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
  • Generate content providing actionable uplift for creating weapons capable of mass casualties (e.g. chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive weapons).
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its backend, or other users' accounts, chats, or shared links.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service, including through automated scripts, scraping, or denial-of-service attacks.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models or proprietary technology of the Service.
  • Impersonate any real person or entity in a way intended to deceive or defraud.
  • Use content generated in uncensored mode to harass, threaten, or target a specific real person.

Adult and explicit content generated in uncensored mode for personal, lawful, fictional, or creative use by an eligible adult user is not, by itself, a violation of this section. We reserve the right to restrict, rate-limit, or revoke access to uncensored modes at our discretion.

Use of uncensored modes is monitored for compliance with these Terms: when you send a prompt through an uncensored or adult-content model (such as "ROK Hermes Spicy"), we log the prompt together with your account's email address so that violations — including the prohibitions above — can be investigated and unlawful content can be reported to the relevant authorities. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is logged and how long it is kept.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and branding ("ROK AI" and associated marks), is owned by its operators and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly permitted.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.

8. Third-Party Services

Signing in uses a third-party identity provider (e.g., Google), and model generation may be powered by third-party AI providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services; our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Links on the Service to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience only and do not constitute our endorsement.

ROK is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other company whose products or services may be referenced on the Service. All product names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER ROK NOR ITS OPERATORS SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING DAMAGES CAUSED BY RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED OUTPUT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we determine termination is necessary to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 7, 9, 10, and 11) will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Service where practicable. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Contact

Questions or concerns about these Terms can be directed to us at [email protected]. We aim to respond promptly.

These Terms are provided for transparency. For questions, contact us at [email protected]. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
